The Book That Changes Everything (Even if You Don’t Finish It)
The world feels like it’s on fire.
It’s easy to slip into survival mode, to doom-scroll, to silence that small voice inside of us that knows what you really want and need.
In the midst of this chaos, I keep coming back to this truth:
We need strong, intuitive, creative people now more than ever.
That’s why I return, again and again, to The Artist’s Way.
For those who don’t know, The Artist’s Way is a 12-week journey created by Julia Cameron. It looks like a book, but it’s really a lighthouse. It guides you back to yourself when the world feels dark and confusing.
I’ve been facilitating this work since 2016—long enough to see hundreds of people step into their power, uncover surprising gifts, and remember that creativity isn’t a luxury. It’s a birthright.
Here’s what I’ve learned from guiding so many through this process:
It doesn’t change you so much as it reveals you.
It’s the most reliable way I know to tap into intuition.
It builds confidence, gives permission, and asks hard questions.
It can be confronting. And that’s why it works.
Even if you don’t finish, it changes you. You still get what you came for.
When I watch people do this work, it’s like The Matrix. The red pill or the blue pill. Once you’ve glimpsed your truth, you can’t unsee it.
This fall, I’ve been asked to guide another round of The Artist’s Way through the Greensboro Center for Visual Arts, but you don’t have to be a member of the CVA to join us. We begin October 1st, meeting Wednesdays from 11am–noon ET on Zoom (and yes, all sessions will be recorded).
If your heart is tugging at you as you read this, maybe this is your moment.
The excuses are endless—not now, maybe later. But I’ll tell you what I’ve seen: “later” almost always turns into “never.” And your creativity deserves better than the back burner.
So this is my invitation.
Join us. Step into the light. Discover what’s waiting inside of you.

Because as the world gets louder and darker, we need more of us lit up, alive, and listening to the truth inside.
Together we float,
